So if it doesn't work on Microsoft's OWN installer, then how can it work for a third party installer. Component mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered.
#TABCTL32.OCX IS NOT CORRECTLY REGISTERED FREE#
BTW, I know the PDW does not work for VISTA and I have only been using Microsoft's own free Visual studio installer 1.1, no third party product. This is a bug in VISTA Imo.something they need to address for developers.
#TABCTL32.OCX IS NOT CORRECTLY REGISTERED INSTALL#
Wondering why these files are supported if they do not register properly on Vista. If a program prompts you with an error condition Component ‘MSCOMCTL.OCX’ or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid when you try to install it on your computer, it means it cannot find the required file in the directory or the file isn’t correctly registered in the computer. I am not happy with the UAC, and it seems really cumbersome for users. On XP upgrading to Vista it runs ok, but on clean installs I had to have the users turn OFF the UAC before installing the program then run this bat file.
your program will let you know what is missing when it's run after the reboot on Vista. Adjust the dll's and ocx files as needed for your apps. Just paste to a text file and rename it with the bat extension. I found most of the following files were missing in my vb6 applications and some existing ones just needed to be un- registered and re-registered in a bat file. Which means you must add them to your applications and distribute them with your apps. So what does that mean? We support you, we just won't include them with VISTA.hummmmm. Ok, what Microsoft means is that they "support" those dll's and OCX files, but they are NOT "shipped" with Vista. After awhile googling i got this, and ioGui works. Could not load file or assembly 'Interop.VBRUN' when using a vb6 ocx control in vb.net. Registered OCX file cannot be imported in vb 6. Right, i had an issue with ioGui doesn work with Vista. However this question is about TABCT元2.OCX which is a different control, Tabbed Dialog Control 6.0.
